MMIWG Day May 5th, 2024

MMIWG Day was first held in 2010, and is also called Red Dress Day. This annual remembrance was inspired by Métis artist Jaime Black’s REDress Project, an art installation of red dresses hanging in the wind to symbolize more than 1,000 Indigenous women and girls who have been killed or gone missing in Canada. Though the day is falls on Sunday this year, lets stand together as we remember our sisters who are no longer with us. Let’s all stand together and wear red on Monday May 6th, 2024.
